Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula piano

Jean-Sélim was born in Switzerland and studied at the Lausanne Conservatoire and later at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.  He held the Rebanks Piano Fellowship at the Glenn Gould School in Toronto and this autumn joins the Kronberg Academy.

In 2016 he was invited by Sir Andras Schiff to give solo recitals at major venues as part of his Building Bridges concert series, supporting new talents.

"Not only is Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula a fine pianist with great sensitivity and imagination, he is also a major talent in composition. When he plays Bach,  Chopin and Schubert he does it with a composer's understanding" Sir Andras Schiff.

He went on to perform widely in Europe appearing at the Tonhalle Zurich, Palais des Beaux-Arts Brussel, Weimar Pfingst Festival, Schumannfest Düsseldorf, Lucerne and Trasimeno Festivals. Further afield he made his debut at Carnegie's Weill Hall and 92nd Street Y in New York.

He was selected by YCAT in 2017.
